We were simply looking for a sunscreen we felt comfortable putting on our skin every single day.

What we found instead was disappointing.

Store shelves were packed with products marketed as "healthy," "natural," and "clean," yet the ingredient lists told a different story.

Chemical UV filters.

Synthetic fragrances.

Seed oils.

Preservatives and fillers we couldn't pronounce.

The more we researched, the more we realized that many products designed to protect your skin were filled with ingredients we weren't comfortable using ourselves.

There had to be a better way.

So We Went Back To The Basics

One ingredient kept appearing throughout history:
